Why ElderPro Network?

I have found Elderpro to be a great resource in my current role as director of sales at Sunrise of Madison. It allows me the opportunity to connect with professionals that I may not be able to reach.

What is your favorite part of the Elder Care industry?

Working with and more importantly learning from seniors, being able to provide the elderly with alternative solutions where they can still have meaningful days with purpose and dignity.

What can you offer industry colleagues?

I have been working in Assisted Living for nearly nine years. My experience in the industry varies from the various roles that I've transitioned into. Starting out in the business office, I learned a lot about Long Term Care Insurance, the Medicaid spend down process and qualifications needed to enroll seniors into the program. I can offer my colleagues information about those potential options. I have also managed a memory care neighborhood for over two years, caring each day for seniors who suffer from Alzheimer's or dementia and would be able to share that information with my colleagues too. Most recently, I have transitioned into a Sales role which allows me to educate colleagues, seniors and their loved ones about the different long term care solutions. As well as, how my organization can cater not only to seniors with extremely high acuity levels but also provide meaningful and exciting days for residents that are completely independent.

What can industry colleagues offer you?

Similar to myself, most industry colleagues have a passion for seniors so whatever information of knowledge they have learned throughout their careers would be helpful to me as I continue to develop in mine.

What do you do for fun?

When at work I enjoy spending time with the residents and leading an activity or two, like trivia or cooking with them at our cooking club. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, cooking, spending time with my pets and visiting with my loved ones. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my nephew who is also my Godson.
